As a student in the program, you will be introduced to a wide range of core skills, including writing, file management, assessment and treatment planning, counselling, and communications. Since addictions and community service workers are required to interact with clients and healthcare professionals on a daily basis, these core skills are essential to the job.
Additionally, you will study the topics of psychology, pharmacology, addiction prevention and intervention, and other medical areas. You will need to complete a mandatory clinical placement where you will work in the community to gain real experience before graduation.
Program Duration:
44 weeks
CDI College provides career and employment services that cover job searching and interviewing techniques, resume writing, and job counselling services to help you prepare for your job search.
